Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD 2023 24.2 [Mac/Win]
AutoCAD is a highly-technical graphics program that has traditionally been used by mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, and other designers. According to Autodesk’s 2014 annual report, the app was installed on almost 38 million computers worldwide in 2014.
The first version of AutoCAD was released in December 1982. It was originally named AutoCAD-1 and was based on Microstation, a computer-aided drafting (CAD) software program developed by Symantec. Symantec gave Autodesk the original AutoCAD source code and that same year AutoCAD-1 for DOS was released.
As CAD programs were popularized and the computer-aided design industry grew, so did the number of Autodesk software applications, including ArcCAD, Inventor, Design Review, 3ds Max, Maya, and others. At the end of 2013, Autodesk had approximately 10,000 employees worldwide. The company announced that Autodesk had 25 million users of its products in 2014, and 35 million as of May 2015. In 2014, AutoCAD had over 1.4 million users, while 3ds Max had about 90,000.
AutoCAD grew from the original incarnation as a single product to a suite of applications, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Architecture, and AutoCAD MEP. These later applications were incorporated into AutoCAD LT, which has been produced by Autodesk since 1996. AutoCAD LT is a desktop and network-based application and was released as a part of AutoCAD. The original version of AutoCAD LT was the same version that came as part of AutoCAD. Autodesk later released a standalone version of AutoCAD LT called AutoCAD LT Essentials.
In 2005, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2006, a major revision of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT that included a new interface, better performance, and greater functionality. Since then, Autodesk has released two more revisions of AutoCAD (AutoCAD 2009 and AutoCAD 2012), each with new features and function changes. AutoCAD LT has been updated once every two years with new release, but AutoCAD has not been updated in five years.
In 2013, Autodesk launched its cloud-based project management software,

The XML Paper Specification is a language to describe paper specification. It is based on an XML Schema definition.
AutoCAD Architecture is a set of APIs, templates and tools for automating architectural construction projects. The primary purpose of AutoCAD Architecture is to provide a fast and easy way to create architectural drawings and construction documents.
Since the release of version 2009 of AutoCAD Architecture, the program no longer requires a locally installed AutoCAD. Instead, the architectural design of the project is created within AutoCAD Architecture and is not rendered to paper until later.

XML Paper Specification
Autodesk XPL is an XML-based language for paper specification. It allows users to define their own paper dimensions and properties.
It is intended to be a standard method for exchanging paper specifications between designers, manufacturers, and other professionals, and for importing those specifications to computers. The original specification for XPL is written in XML format and can be translated to industry standard CAD formats such as DXF and DWG.
Since AutoCAD Architecture uses XML Paper Specification to import/export models, it is possible to import any AutoCAD Architectural project into AutoCAD Architecture and vice versa. XPL is also supported by most CAD software programs such as Microstation, Creo, NUAGI, Pro/E, VectorWorks and many other CAD programs.

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) occurs in 1.1 million Americans each year, incurring over $1 billion in excess cost. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) carry a 3-4 fold increased mortality rate. However, asymptomatic VTE is rarely screened. In the past, VTE has been diagnosed using venography, which is invasive, costly, and associated with significant radiation. Because of these factors, there is currently an emphasis on screening for VTE with duplex ultrasound (DUS) as it is non-invasive, relatively inexpensive, and may identify asymptomatic VTE. Studies show a high prevalence of unrecognized asymptomatic VTE. DUS is the primary screening tool, but has poor sensitivity (1%-44%). DUS has not replaced venography for clinical decision making because of concerns about its sensitivity, need for expertise, and low specificity. This is primarily because the cutoff for a positive DUS is not standardized. There is a need to further improve the detection of DVT using DUS. This proposal investigates the use of the vein wall velocity (Vw) signal as an adjunctive indicator of venous thrombosis. Vein wall velocity is recorded by a linear, real-time ultrasound Doppler scan and can be used as a marker of the degree of local blood flow. The Vw signal is a non-invasive and low-cost marker of the local flow rate in the vein. It has been proposed that the presence of a low Vw signal is a marker of thrombosis. To test this hypothesis, the prevalence of DVT will be compared in a large population of symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. In addition, the sensitivity and specificity of Vw signal for the diagnosis of DVT will be determined. Finally, a signal-to-thrombus ratio (Vw/DUS) will be
